MOSCOW, Jan 29 (PRIME) – The social support suggested by President Vladimir Putin in his address to the Federal Assembly will cost Russia’s budgets additional 4.128 trillion rubles until 2024, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters on Wednesday.
“The Finance Ministry of Russia has made final calculations for financing of the measures from the president’s address. Until 2024, additional spending of thebudgets will amount to 4 trillion and 128.2 billion rubles, of which money of the federal budget accounts for 3 trillion and 770.4 billion rubles and of regional budgets for 357.8 billion rubles,” he said.
“As expected, the bulk of the sum will be allocated to support of low-income families with children aged from three to seven -- it will amount to 1 trillion and 389.6 billion rubles, while payments of maternity capital will amount to 1 trillion and 232.7 billion rubles.”
The ministry will submit the budget amendments to the government until February 11.
“During drafting of the 2020–2022 budget, we assumed priority of social spending. The measures of social support that were mentioned in the address will ensure a significant increase in the standard of living of vulnerable social groups. At the same time, these decisions will not have an impact on the budget and macroeconomic stability,” Siluanov said.
